Well then, from out of nowhere, a huge tidal wave lifted me, tossed me like a cork, and I found myself right on top of him – face to face with the blowhole. I could barely see from the waves crashing down upon me but I knew something was there. So I reached my hand in, felt around, and pulled out the obstruction.

Seinfeld’s Big Bang

Alright, so I admit, this title might be a little misleading. I’m not here to talk about Jerry Seinfeld creating a big bang, as you are probably thinking by reading the title in it’s most literal form. However, if you are under the assumption that I’m be comparing Seinfeld to The Big Bang Theory, then you are on to something.

I became an avid Seinfeld fan well after the show had ended. I probably started watching it sometime in 2005, and I now own autographed memorabilia, two full sets of the shows DVD’s (one collectors, one for watching), a trivia game, and so much more. I’ve become a Seinfeld nut, to the point where I can relate almost everything in life to this show. So yeah, I’m well versed in all things Seinfeld.

Recently I’ve gotten into The Big Bang Theory, and so far, I’m quite impressed. It takes a nerdy group of guys and a slutty girl, and turns in a uniquely funny show week after week. As unique as the premise is, I see a lot of Seinfeld in The Big Bang Theory.

Skyrim only gets better with mods.

Sky UI for SkyrimAlright so if you’ve been reading my blog you know that I’m sort of obsessed with the new Elder Scrolls Skryim game. How obsessed? Well I put 71 hours into a character on the ps3 then decided to switch to the PC version… haven’t gotten far on there yet, but I’m doing what I can. The one thing I discovered about the PC version that improves it even more, is custom modifications made by the fans of the game.

I guess that’s the key benefit for any game on the PC over a console right? Anyways, unlike WoW, the mods on Skyrim can be a little tricky to install, so if you’re looking to venture into this wonderful world of customization, be sure to get the Nexus Download Manager. Skyrim Nexus is the site you’ll find 99% of the Skyrim mods on, and the site works hand in hand with the Download Manager (which they also own).

So once you get that, what mods do you want?? Well, I like to keep the game as original as possible when I install my mods, so I generally look over them carefully to see exactly how much of the game they’re going to change before deciding to install them. For the most part I went with graphical improvement mods, but I did sneak in a little UI mod, a map mod and a “glowing ore” mod to the mix.

I’m in Love with Star Wars All Over Again

Entertainment, Gam3zor5

Yeah so I wasn’t really into the original Star Wars series (4,5,6) mainly due to the fact that I was born in 1986… it’d be mighty hard to understand them when I wasn’t even born yet lol. I did rather enjoy them though when the next trio of Star Wars movies came out, as I went on a huge Star Wars watching spree and watched all 6 of them!

Yeah, big deal, who didn’t right? Since then though, the Star Wars fad has definitely died in me… until now. As you know, I’ve been anxiously waiting to get my hands on the new Bioware MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic. Well on December 24th (yeah we exchanged gifts on Christmas Eve this year so suck it!) I finally got it! In my hands, a copy of my most anticipated game of this year… let’s go play!

Oh wait… let’s not. Forgetting that my CD-Rom isn’t hooked up due to a lack of IDE hook-ups on my motherboard, I had to install the game digitally. 25 Gigs… over an internet connection… in a house with many, many other devices also using this connection. Bollocks!

Fast forward to December 27th, 12:00AM… finally! The download is complete! Let’s get this shit going! What do I roll, what do I roll? Jedi?? Hell no, every wannabe awesome and rape dead bodies bitch in the planet is going to be a Jedi, let’s not. Trooper? Really… a faggot ass, let’s run out there and get shot in the face trooper? I’d rather not be the first guy dying in battle… let’s get real.

How will The Old Republic fare?

Any pc gamers, or avid MMO fans, will know about the release of Star Wars: The Old Republic today. This is Biowares’ first attempt at a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, more commonly known as an MMORPG. After bringing us amazing games like the Mass Effect Series, as well as a slew of Dragon Age games, can Bioware continue their epic success in the online RPG world? A world that’s been dominated by the likes of WoW (World of Warcraft) for the past decade.

We’ve seen a ton of games come and go, and very few have made a dent. A few I’ve tried myself included Age of Conan, Guild Wars, Tabula Rasa and Rift. Although each had a few unique attributes, none really compared to WoW… but is that really a fair comparison? Those who played WoW back in it’s “vanilla”, or starting, days know just how bad it really was. It took years of tweaking in order for Blizzard to develop it into what it is today, so why not give these new ones a chance? The answer is simple… impatience. If there is already a game out there that does everything you like, why give another game the chance to develop the same way? Most who leave WoW, end up returning with in a year. I’m included in that group.
