One day Michael came in, complaining about a speed bump, on the highway… I wonder who he ran over then.

It's Football

Terrell Owens is no doubt a future Hall of Famer. Like him or hate him, he was a spectacular player in his day… despite all the crazy antics, destroying team locker rooms, etc, etc. Honestly I was shocked when no NFL team showed up for his recent workout. I can think of a few teams off the top of my head that desperately need a WR… St. Louis, Cleveland, Seattle, hell even the Chicago Bears.

Terrell Owens to the Chicago Rush? That doesn’t appear likely though… I guess the NFL teams don’t want to deal with Terrell Owens the Attitude in order to benefit from Terrell Owens the player. There is, however, one professional team that does want him… the Chicago Rush. That’s right, the Arena Football Team that’s apparently desperate for a WR was quoted on Yahoo as saying:

“We feel that this is an ideal time to approach the future NFL Hall of Famer,” said Rush General Manager and President Gene Nudo. “It would be a fantastic honor to add Terrell to our current roster for the 2012 season.”

I’m not sure Owens is actually going to do it though… he seems to have way too much pride to lower himself to another football league… especially one that’s as unpopular as the Arena league. I guess we’ll see… but if I had to take a shot at what was going to happen, I’d say he plays for the Arena team, gets invited back to the NFL by some team desperate for a receiver, and he ends up retiring at years end.

In reality though, I have no idea. It’ll be interesting to see what actually happens. Terrell Owens in the Arena league might actually be an awesome thing. He can go back to doing all his crazy antics, and the Arena league would actually garner some interest from Owens fans such as myself. Here we go Chicago Rush!!!
